Taste of Spring!

I really could not resist creating a card with a touch of Spring! As I completed this card, I thought to myself that it would be a perfect card to use for an upcoming swap...then I had the thought that this is the type card that can be used for most any time you just need a card! We have had the mildest winter and signs of Spring are just everywhere here, but I'm sure old man winter will show his face soon! Well, this is my ART for today to share with you...what do you think of it??? I hope you'll stop by again and thank you for your visit!

Baby It's Cold Outside!

I used the same image for two different ART swaps I joined for February ... and did I have myself a good time with the Winter Wonderland and Baby It's Cold Outside theme! It was pretty warm in our area as I was working on my swaps and I really had a hard time getting in the mood! I found our snow from last year that was OMGosh beautiful and printed out two images for me to use in my ART. This is looking out my own front door and I was thrilled to use a real picture I took in my creations! I added a touch of sparkle with my Gelly Roll pen and this is just the look I saw all glistening and lovely when I opened our door and peaked out! On the card I created, I added the snowman sticker...on the postcard with this same picture front, I stamped a snowman! I was pretty pleased with my Winter card and postcard...what do you think of my card??? Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a note!

Took Your Advice...

and decided to add a little more to my card...it's not the Sketch Challenge but it did change it up enough that I now like it...what do you think???

Do you like today's version with the addition of the butterflies in the top corners or do you prefer it plain (yesterday's card) ??? Thanks for taking a look and come again soon!

February Challenge!

I'm in a rather creative dry spell with my ART so now that I've finally completed a sketch challenge, I so wanted to share it with you! With that said, I'm disappointed in it and could use a little advice. I know my scan didn't turn out the best...it is a cream card and the flower is also stamped on the same cream paper. I love the flowers in the background paper and the addition of ribbons and lace, pink rhinestones and bow, but to me...it has the appearance of "something missing" on the top blank portion! Do you feel this way too? Wonder if a few swirls would add

to it or make it too fussy? Perhaps the pink in the flower is too light and that can be corrected but then it does match the first layer of pink ribbon! A little positive critique never hurt anyone, huh? Thanks for stopping by!

Just a Pretty!

It was indeed a warm and fulfilling experience to attend a Cheer meeting at our Church Monday night...I went with my friend, Sandra, and took some handmade cards and put several more together while I was there. I did receive many compliments on my ARTwork and the cards were ooohed and aaahed over but I felt it was so worth while and used for the Lord's work and that feeling alone is what made it all worth while for me! You may not be able to see the details of this lovely paper and I don't remember who created it, but I loved it - click on the card to see the details! Thanks for your visit! Enjoy your day! Diann

Too Bright???

Here's another of the Cheer Cards I'm having so much fun creating! I'm wondering if this one is perhaps too bring? But, I do admit to lively colors in my ART and I figured if you are sick then this will surely brighten your day or outlook! Tonight I am actually going to a Cheer function and taking some of my handmade cards and making a few there with others! I'm pretty excited but oh so nervous...I keep asking myself, what if these people don't really like handmade cards?, but then I think its for the Church and I doubt many would say that to my face...LOL! Well, with that said, I'll go and enjoy myself! Hope you are having a nice day and thank you for your visit and comments. Enjoy your day! Diann

On a Roll for Sure!

Here I am sharing another Cheer Card with you and yes, I'm on a roll! Most of you know that I just love birds and also that it is usually the papers I use that calls to me...this was no exception! During a recent shopping trip, I picked up a small Susan Winget paper pack from K&Company...one glance and I knew it was going home with me - I loved it! And just as I thought the papers are just calling to me and it was so easy to create a card for the Cheer group at Church! I stamped a few swirls, added the ovals with the bird and edged the sides for contrast...they already came with the design and how about those cut out rounded corners! I simply stamped thinking of you on the inside. Yes, what do you think of this cheer card???

A Cheer Card!

I had a little time on my hands this morning and sat down at my ART table with good intentions of working on a swap that is coming due.....nope...didn't happen! Instead I found myself playing with lovely image a friend sent my way...and I created a Cheer card that will be going to our CARE group at Church! The inside simply says, Thinking of You, so it can be used in many ways by those that send out cards at Church. I'm trying to make a few each week to donate for the cause!

Thanks for stopping by and come again please!

Male Birthday Card!

Sunday we will be celebrating our friend Jim's birthday in our Sunday School class and I am in charge of making or buying his card...I don't usually buy cards so I created this one for him and I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out! Man cards are in no way my ART specialty! I hope he will be pleased with this one! I began with beautiful background paper by Bo Bunny called Garbielle Unwritten...just loved everything about it but focused on the beautiful design and deemed it the perfect place to add Happy Birthday! I added the butterfly sticker and the Blessing of Joy sticker from K & Co - both are dimensional adhesions and just made the card sing! I'm satisfied right down to the little blue chrystal that just brought out the blues in the background paper! What do you think of my manly birthday card??? Thanks for your visit! Enjoy your day!
