Birthday Card #1

I'm loving this birthday card ... you know I just love birds in my ART so when a friend (thanks, Shirley) passed this lovely image on to me from The Graphic Fairy, I knew just what I was going to do with it! I'd been asked to create a couple of birthday cards in my Sunday School class - one for a lady and one for a man - and I knew immediately this image would be the base for both of my cards! This is my lady card going to a special lady, Debra - she touches my heart and does so much good...you got it...I wanted the card to be as special as she is! Using a Spellbinder die I cut out the scanned image, distressed it a bit and then moved on to other elements on the card. From the same card stock that I printed the image on, I used my MS punch to create a border that I also distressed a bit. Next I added a bit of silver German Scrap across the top of the vine border to bring out the blue of the bird. All elements were attached to a piece of green dotted swiss background paper...this pulled it all together...it all was adhered to a distressed cream card. I added the dimensional blue flowers to enchance the bird image and to complete the card. Yes, I do want to know what you think of my lady birthday card??? As always, thanks for visiting my blog! Stay tuned for the man birthday card I created using the same blue bird image...a totally different look! Enjoy your day! Diann
